Checking in with Ben Thomas
The FOX '18 grad has multiple Grammy nominations and his own recording studio in North Philadelphia - and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.
Ben Thomas, FOX ’18, is no stranger to success. When he was still an undergrad at Temple University, he was working on high-profile projects with major label artists. In the five years since graduation, he’s already received multiple Grammy nominations, including just this year for his work on a song from Pusha T’s album It’s Almost Dry. He has his own recording studio space in North Philadelphia, After5 Studios. He’s worked on projects nominated for BET Awards, Soul Train Awards and American Music Awards. He even did a track with Barack Obama.
At 27, he’s already accomplished more than most people could even dream of, but he’s not slowing down any time soon. We visited Ben at his recording studio to chat, asking him questions about his work, his goals, and of course, his time at Temple University.
