In June 2014, Temple Women's Network (TWN) was founded to create a vibrant community for Temple University alumnae from diverse backgrounds to connect, grow and uplift each other. Additionally, TWN offers an outlet for women to learn, lead, network and support the next generation at Temple, creating a cycle of empowerment for future alumnae.

TWN strives to inspire its community to become catalysts for positive change in their own life and the wider world by nurturing professional and personal growth, offering community engagement and service opportunities and recognizing the important contributions of Temple’s community of women. Join us as we unravel the top five things you need to know about TWN and learn how this network is making a difference and carrying forward Temple's legacy of excellence and service.

The Mission

TWN’s mission is to engage a diverse community of women and actively assist in establishing and maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship between Temple University and our alumnae. They accomplish this through events, community service and philanthropy. Thier areas of focus include alumni engagement and social and professional networking.

The Events

TWN hosts a diverse array of engaging events annually, each curated to unite members in memorable and meaningful ways. From educational workshops to community service initiatives and festive gatherings, TWN’s events have something for everyone.

The year's first event is the After Glow Party, a unique post-holiday celebration featuring a rejuvenating morning workout, a delightful brunch and a spirited white-elephant-style gift exchange of the season’s least favorite presents. TWN also hosts an annual Tea Party where you can channel your inner royal, don your fanciest hat and enjoy an afternoon of elegance, activities and lively discussion. Another event favorite is the annual fall brunch, where women are welcomed back to campus to savor delicious bites and valuable insights from esteemed Temple alumnae industry professionals.

In addition to celebratory events, TWN is committed to professional development and community initiatives. You can look forward to their upcoming  TrailblazeHer Navigating Careers with Confidence two-part series on March 20, 2024, and March 27, 2024. Through insightful sessions focused on job interviews, salary negotiation and career mapping, TWN equips alumnae with the tools and confidence needed to navigate the complexities of the modern workplace and achieve personal and professional fulfillment.

Additionally, join TWN on April 27, 2024, as they volunteer at the Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory and lend a helping hand in processing and packaging donations for children in need across the Philadelphia region. By participating in this noble cause, TWN comes together to make a tangible difference in the lives of those less fortunate, embodying the spirit of service and compassion that defines TWN.
